HN VIDEO NOTES: Despite recent national polls showing that the majority of Americans approve of President Trump’s first 29 days in office (with an average spread of +2.6 percentage points, according to RealClearPolling.com), not everyone is particularly thrilled with our 47th President. The following HN Video contains footage sent in by a Hyannis News reader. It shows a group of people who spent part of their Presidents’ Day holiday standing out on the side of Main Street in Falmouth. They were holding signs, chanting “Money won’t save America, kindness will.” Their signs expressed their disapproval, contempt, hate, and fear. According to photos, some read: – “TOPPLE THE TINY TYRANT AND HIS LITTLE MUSK-RAT TOO!” – “We the People… Not We the Billionaires” – “STOP THE COUP SAVE DEMOCRACY” – “NOT MY PRESIDENT” – “LOVE NOT HATE MAKES THE USA GREAT” – “MELT ICE” – “NO DOGE NO” – “DUMP TRUMP. FIRE MUSK” – “DON’T LET TRUMP & DOGE DESTROY DEMOCRACY” – “REAL AMERICANS REJECT DICTATORS” – “RESIST FASCISM DEFEND DEMOCRACY” – And one sign even had swastika with a red line through it, reading “NEVER AGAIN” [HN VIDEO W/ READER FOOTAGE – PRESS PLAY] Meanwhile, the Trump administration spent the Presidents’ Day holiday pointing out their accomplishments during their 29 days in office. WHITE HOUSE MEDIA STATEMENT – FEBRUARY 17, 2025: Trump Effect Shows No Slowdown In his first month back in office, President Donald J. Trump has taken extraordinary action to usher in a new Golden Age of America – through border security, deregulation, government accountability, and leveling the playing field for American workers, to name a few. The positive effects of President Trump’s policies continue to be felt across the country. Here are some headlines you may have missed this weekend:

That is down from a high of over 11,000 a day under Biden.  I started as a Border Patrol Agent in 1984 and I don’t remember the numbers ever being that low.  President Trump promised a secure border and he is delivering.”
