security patrol property check service

OSTERVILLE, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN VIDEO NOTES] –  Barnstable Police officers had their hands full trying to catch up to a Jeep that reportedly was missing a tire and traveling on its rim. At around 9:00 p.m. last evening, patrols were dispatched to the area of West Main Street in Hyannis after initial reports of a Jeep hitting a curb. As you will hear in the following HN Video, police received additional calls regarding a Jeep traveling west on Rte. 28 in Centerville with one of its tires on fire. Moments later a Barnstable PD patrolwoman radioed she had eyes on the Jeep still traveling west on Route 28, approaching the intersection with Five Corners Road in Centerville. According to radio transmissions, additional patrol cars quickly fell in behind the patrolwoman as she reported the Jeep was not stopping for her lights and sirens. The Jeep, now traveling on just three wheels, continued west on Rte. 28 at a reported speed of 65 MPH, according to sources and radio transmissions. The Jeep finally pulled over a shortly after crossing over into Osterville along Rte. 28, in the area of Tanglewood Drive. HN arrived and observed a blue Jeep pulled over next to a guardrail. It was missing its front passenger-side wheel assembly. The passenger-side windshield was shattered and there appeared to be a number of scratches along the hood. The missing wheel was reportedly found somewhere back in Centerville, in the vicinity of the COMM Fire Department. Officers called a COMM FD ambulance after the driver was said to be feeling light-headed and off balanced. The driver was the sole occupant and was described as being in his mid-60s. He was secured on a stretcher and eventually transported to Cape Cod Hospital by COMM FD. HN spoke with an officer on scene, following up several hours later with an additional source at police headquarters… and at the time of this report, the out-of-control Jeep incident is being investigated as a “medical emergency.” No further details available at this time… The following HN Video contains still photos and police radio transmissions.
