Above: Chatham PD photo/HN edits… CHATHAM, MASSACHUSETTS –  According to a Chatham Police Department media statement, on Wednesday – November 27, 2024 – at around 9:22 a.m., police and firefighters responded to Larry’s PX restaurant for a report that a vehicle had driven into the building. Larry’s PX restaurant is located at 1591 Main Street, inside the Shop Ahoy Plaza, next to the Shop Ahoy Liquor Store. Upon arrival, first responders found a 2017 Subaru Forester inside the store. The SUV had apparently just crashed through the front entrance. The vehicle was operated by a 71-year-old female from Chatham, according to police. A restaurant patron and employee were injured during the single vehicle crash. Both were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries according to the CPD media statement. Members of the Barnstable County Technical Response Team assisted on scene. The Town of Chatham Building and Code Enforcement office also responded. The Chatham Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
