    CENTERVILLE, MASSACHUSETTS –  Pine Street near the intersection with Bee Lane was shut down while first responders worked the scene of a single vehicle crash this evening. Police and firefighters responded at around 5:30 p.m., after receiving a report of a vehicle on its side and a utility pole across the roadway. According to sources, the loud crash brought neighbors out of their homes to investigate. The female driver (and sole occupant) was reportedly wearing her seat belt and did not appear to be injured but was eventually transported to Cape Cod Hospital for evaluation due to the force of the impact. The pole across the roadway was a utility support pole and the damage did not appear to cause any outages in the area. Eversource responded to investigate the damage… A member of the Sheriff’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit took photographs of the crash. The driver reportedly claims to have been traveling the posted speed when the she clipped the support pole.
