Top HN photo: A passenger who survived a collision on Route 28 at the intersection of Five Corners Road, removes two unharmed pumpkins from the wreckage.  The young lady and her friends (who also escaped the crash unharmed) were on their way home to carve a number of winter squash into seasonal decorations.     PHOTO NOTES: HN covered two late afternoon crashes on Route 28 yesterday. Thankfully, nobody was seriously injured at both crash scenes. In the first crash (see above HN photos), two occupants of a Jeep that landed on its roof were transported to Cape Cod Hospital for the evaluation of possible “priority 3,” non-life-threatening injuries, according to sources on scene.  The crash happened at the intersection of Rte. 28 and Five Corners Road in Centerville.  The Barnstable Police are investigating the cause of the crash. In the second crash (see following HN photos), Hyannis Firefighters and Barnstable Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Route 28 at the intersection of Danvers Way.  The drivers of both vehicles ended up not being transported to CCH.  The driver of one of the vehicles was arrested for Operating Under the Influence.         P.S. – Today’s Hytown Vignette is brought to you by the Crash Test Dummies…  [CLICK IT/CRANK IT!
