***  WATCH ***  MOTORCYCLIST ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY NOT STOPPING FOR POLICE

WEST YARMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN VIDEO NOTES] –  Plainclothes Yarmouth Police officers were attempting to conduct a traffic stop on a black motorcycle when it suddenly took off from them at around 5:00 p.m. this afternoon, according to sources. Officers did not engage in an active pursuit, but upon further investigation the black motorcycle was observed cutting through someone’s yard toward Muscovy Lane. Officers reportedly chased the suspect on foot and quickly managed to pull him off the motorcycle at the end of Muscovy Lane. The motorcyclist was arrested for Failure to Stop for Police and other motor vehicle charges… along with other possible unspecified charges. The motorcycle’s registration was reportedly revoked for no insurance. An unopened Mike’s Hard Lemonade was found on the ground where officers reportedly pulled the fleeing motorcyclist from the bike. The beverage was poured out onto the ground to prevent nearby young kids from possibly getting their hands on it. It’s uncertain whether the motorcyclist had already consumed other hard lemonades prior to the arrest, or whether the unopened can was to be his first of the day. Yarmouth FD Rescue was called to the scene to evaluate the suspect for possible injuries. The suspect was transported to Cape Cod Hospital with a police officer also riding inside the ambulance. [DEVELOPING… The defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law…] HN NOTE: In recent weeks, Yarmouth Police officers have attempted to stop a motorcyclist riding a black motorcycle that has repeatedly took off from them at high speeds. It’s uncertain whether today’s motorcyclist is the same driver that has recently been fleeing from police in the area.
