WEST YARMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS –  [HN VIDEO NOTES]  –  At around 10:30 p.m., firefighters and police rushed to an address on Winchester Ave to help a woman who was badly injured after falling down basement stairs.  According to radio transmissions, the victim was a woman in her mid-60s, suffering an open wrist fracture, along with head trauma.  First responders worked to safely extricate the patient from the basement before placing her into a Yarmouth FD ambulance.  The patient was then transported to Cape Cod Gateway Airport in Hyannis, where she was transported to an off-Cape trauma center in a Medflight helicopter.  The following HN Video highlights the airlift operation… [HN VIDEO –  PRESS PLAY]
