BARNSTABLE, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN VIDEO NOTES]  –  As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, Barnstable Police patrol officers and members of the Barnstable Fire Department, responded to a report of a crash where the driver was still entrapped last evening.  The single vehicle crash happened on Route 6A in the vicinity of Keveney Lane at around 9:45 p.m.  The first people on scene found a woman standing up inside the cab of a pickup truck that was now on its side.  First responders were able to safely extricate the woman.  She was eventually transported to Cape Cod Hospital in a Barnstable FD ambulance.  Her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.  Firefighters then had to use a chainsaw to remove a tree from the roadway.  Rte. 6A needed to be completely shut down for a period of time while first responders worked the scene.  The Barnstable Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
