HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS –  [VIDEO NOTES]  –  Downtown Hyannis was busy with pedestrian and vehicle traffic last evening when a parked motorcycle burst into flames at the intersection of Main Street and High School Road.  Police and firefighters were dispatched around 8:18 p.m.  As you will see and hear in the video, Barnstable Police officers arrived quickly and began diverting traffic away from the blaze.  A Hyannis Fire Department engine arrived shortly after the flames began to spread to parked SUV.  The fire was knocked down with the situation well under control by 8:28 p.m.  There were no reported injuries.  The HFD is investigating the cause of the fire… The following HN reader cellphone video footage captures the moments when police and firefighters arrive and handle the scene.  HN edits include police and fire radio transmissions… [HN READER VIDEO –  PRESS PLAY]
