Spring/Summer Shows

It’s been a while since I’ve posted here, but I have been doing lots of artwork this season! In May I had one of my favorite photos accepted to the annual Juried Photography show at the Falmouth Art Center.  Called “Reenactment”, it’s a photo of a revolutionary reenactment that was staged for a NECCC photography conference in Amherst, MA.  What made me love this photo was the little guy in the center of the photo!         For the June show at the Art Center, I entered another favorite photo, one of our local osprey.  The theme was “Unusual Perspectives” and I titled this one “Just a Bad Feather Day”.       I painted plein air during the July Hydrangea Festival in Falmouth.  More than 90 people came through the lovely garden where I was painting, amazing considering how hot and humid the July weather was this year.       16×20 Oil on gold gessoed canvas.  “2024 Hydrangea Festival – Marvin Circle Garden”   My landscape quilt “Sailing on Buzzards Bay” was accepted to the art center Summer Juried Show, a real honor.  I really loved making this fiber piece!       My photo, which placed in a May camera club competition, was part of the club’s annual show at the Falmouth Main Library in July, a show that’s just ending.  “Sunset at Penzance Point”       And lastly, here’s my entry into the August Members’ show at the Art Center.  One of the most beautiful spots in Falmouth, Sippewissett Marsh!  This is an oil on linen board: “Fall Color at Marshlands”.
