WEST YARMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS –  A neighborhood in the area of Harbor Road and Second Road suddenly flooded last evening prior to midnight.  The flooding is believed to have been caused by some type of underground water main break.  Yarmouth Fire Department requested the water department and Eversource to respond.  The police department closed off the area as firefighters checked in on the residents.  Yards filled with water, and in at least once case, a large volume of water began flowing around a house and into the basement.  Firefighters shut of the natural gas supply and were waiting for Eversource to shut of electricity to the flooded dwelling.  The dwelling in question appeared to be unoccupied at the time of the following video.  The area remains blocked off at the time of this report.  The following video highlights the scene and initial response… [HN VIDEO –  PRESS PLAY] P.S. – Today’s Hytown Vignette is a brought to you by Johnny Cash…  [CLICK IT/CRANK IT!  HEADPHONES ABSOLUTELY OBLIGATORY!]
