HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS –  [HN VIDEO NOTES]  –  [DEVELOPING]  –  All official updates for this case will be coming from the District Attorney’s Office, according to sources at the scene.  At around 7:23 p.m. last evening (Wednesday), Barnstable Police patrol officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on Route 28, near the entrance to the Cape Cod Mall. The first officers on scene found a man, described as being in his thirties, suffering a life-threatening stab wound to his chest, according to radio transmissions and sources.  As you will hear in the following HN Video, a woman was quickly taken into custody after she was reportedly seen “running” from the scene.  She was eventually transported to BPD headquarters after an arrest number was requested, according to radio transmissions.  It’s unknown what she’s being charged with.  At one point, Cape Cod Hospital was placed on a trauma alert after the stabbing victim was reportedly unresponsive.  [Check back for official details…] Barnstable Police patrol officers and detectives secured the scene with crime scene tape, cruisers, and traffic cones.  A canopy was erected over one of the vehicles.  Route 28 near the entrance to the Cape Cod Mall needed to be completely shut down until around midnight.  Police and detectives also responded to a second location, a residence on Great Marsh Road near the intersection with Shootflying Hill Road in Centerville.  Crime scene tape was used to secure that second location while investigators shared notes. [DEVELOPING]  The following HN Video contains video footage highlighting the scene.  It also contains Hyannis FD radio transmissions… [HN VIDEO –  PRESS PLAY]  * The defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
