SANDWICH, MASSACHUSETTS –  A woman in possession of a Honda Accord just reported stolen from a Hyannis hotel didn’t quite make it over the Sagamore Bridge heading off-Cape when she crashed on the Mid-Cape Highway in Sandwich early this morning, shortly after midnight. Barnstable Police were still completing stolen vehicle paperwork when they learned one of their off-duty officers (returning home from the previous shift) and a Sandwich Police patrol unit came across the stolen vehicle disabled in the middle of Route 6 after having just crashed. The footage shows Barnstable Police officers taking the female driver into custody at the crash scene.
