CENTERVILLE, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN VIDEO NOTES] – [DEVELOPING] – As you will see in the following HN Video, at around 4:00 p.m. this afternoon, Barnstable Police and COMM Firefighters responded to the 400 block of Old Stage Road for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, police observed that the victim had been stabbed multiple times, according to radio transmissions. The patient was transported to the Cape Cod Airfield to be airlifted by MedFlight to an off-Cape trauma center. Meanwhile, back at the crime scene, police completely shut down Old Stage Road between Shoot Flying Hill Road and Great Marsh Road. Massachusetts State Police detectives eventually arrived, along with state police crime scene technicians. District Attorney Rob Galibois also eventually arrived and appeared to be discussing the situation with one of the detectives assigned to his office. The scene was still actively being investigated at the time of this report, around [10:10 p.m…] According to an earlier Barnstable Police Department media statement, a 24-year-old suspect is in custody and there is no ongoing danger to the surrounding neighborhoods. Sources on scene report the suspect was a male.
