***  WATCH ***  SPRAWLING CRASH SCENE… AT LEAST ONE PATIENT IN CRITICAL CONDITION…

HYANNIS, Massachusetts – Police and firefighters rushed toward a devasting crash scene on Bearses Way shortly before 2:00 p.m. today. The sprawling crash scene stretched along Bearses Way between the intersection with Pitchers Way and the entrance to the Tractor Supply Company. At least two vehicles had heavy to moderate damage. Another vehicle appears to have struck a tire that broke off from one of the vehicles. As you will see in the following HN Video, a heavily damaged Toyota sedan appears to have knocked over a fire hydrant before striking a tree. One of the drivers suffered serious trauma and his injuries were described as critical. The Barnstable Police Department had crash reconstruction experts on scene.
