LATE NIGHT CRASHES, INJURY, FENDER BENDERS AND OUI ARREST…  [HN PHOTOS]

      HYANNIS, Massachusetts – [HN PHOTO NOTES & MULLINGS ON THE MATTER] – Motor vehicle crashes, devastating and minor, are a steady part of Cape Cod night life and Friday evening prior to midnight was no exception. In the top HN photo, Hyannis Firefighters carefully lift a woman onto a stretcher. The woman was the passenger in a car involved in crash with a second vehicle at the Route 132 entrance to the busy Cumberland Farms parking lot… one of the last places open in the area that time of day. The airbags deployed, which may have contributed to the woman’s non-life-threatening injuries. The occupants of the second vehicle were uninjured. It’s a busy store entrance and destination late every evening as people scramble to find last minute food, supplies and gasoline prior to The Town of Barnstable’s draconian & exceedingly asinine ban on businesses being open between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m… to make things “easier” for themselves, rather than do their job to keep the town’s economy up and running smoothly without interruptions and momentum killing forced lulls  – BUT I digress, sorry about that… (… okay, I’m not sorry… and there’s a time and place to #&%*@^%!… I know this… but these tone-deaf “9 to 5” politicians banning things and making things more inconvenient are really aggravating considering this area needs things to run much smoother for EVERYONE involved, especially local businesses!) * sigh * The BPD is investigating the cause of the crash. Later after bar closing, Barnstable Police officers responded to a parking lot at the corner of Barnstable Road & North Street for a very minor fender bender.
