***  WATCH ***  FIREARM SEIZED, TWO IN CUSTODY AFTER WILD FOOT CHASE

HYANNIS, Massachusetts –  Two men are in custody and a firearm is off the streets after a wild foot pursuit through a family neighborhood Saturday evening. Barnstable Police patrol officers were conducting a traffic stop on a Hyundai Sonata at South Street and Sea Street around 9:00 p.m. last evening when two adult male passengers suddenly bailed and fled.  Officers chased the two men through backyards for several blocks before taking at least one of them down at gunpoint, according to radio transmissions.  Both males were quickly arrested and transported to BPD Headquarters for booking on a number of charges.
