WEST YARMOUTH, Massachusetts – As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, shortly before 2:00 a.m. this morning, Yarmouth police responded to a residence on Rosetta Street for a report that an armed home invader climbed through a window and poured boiling hot water on two victims. The alleged home invader was also said to be brandishing a knife. Both victims were reportedly scalded by the boiling water. One of the victims suffered serious burns and needed to be transported to Cape Cod Hospital, according to sources. The second victim was not burned as bad and did not need to be transported to CCH. The victims were not friends with the suspect, but they did know who he was. About 30 to 40 minutes into the investigation, Barnstable police patrol officers caught the suspect as he was being dropped off by a taxi at an address on Main Street, Hyannis. The suspect will be charged with Armed Home Invasion and possibly other charges, according to sources on scene. The badly scalded victim was still being treated for his burns at the time of this report.
