CENTERVILLE, Massachusetts –  As HN previously reported, last Friday evening –  Sept. 15, 2023 –  Barnstable Police had their hands full with a very chaotic scene on Zeno Crocker Road. As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, at around 7:45 p.m. last Friday, police responded to 109 Zeno Crocker when a woman renting a room there told police someone had thrown her belongings into the street. While responding, officers were updated that a male had just approached a home in the vicinity of 109 Zeno Crocker, telling occupants that someone had just shot at him. There was reportedly as many as four gunshots, according to radio transmissions. Moments later, responding officers received another update that a third caller reported an operator of a car trying to hit someone in the middle of the road, and that he had just run over a stop sign. According to a Barnstable Police report, a patrolman spoke with a woman on scene who came running up, saying “they crashed the car.”  The woman then reportedly told the officer that Kevin Roderick had just stolen her friend’s car and drove away on Zeno Crocker Road toward Prince Hinckley Road, where he reportedly ran over a stop sign and crashed into a bush.  There reportedly had been a dispute over rent between the woman and one of her housemates.  The woman who ran up to the officer explained she had deducted 100 dollars from the rent money because she believes someone stole a pair of her shoes during a recent party at the Zeno Crocker address.  The woman also told the officer she is often late for work because of the loud parties at the address, and that she was thinking about deducting another 100 dollars for that, according to the police report.  When the woman and her friend noticed all their belongings in the middle of the road, she asked one of her housemates what was going on.  That’s when four men reportedly exited the residence and surrounded her male friend.  Her male friend then reportedly grabbed a knife from his car in case he needed to defend himself.  That’s when Allan Monteiro, one of the four men, was advised to go grab a machete, according to the report.  The woman then reportedly told her male friend to run for she feared he was about to be attacked.  She and her friend reportedly heard someone reference a pistol, but they didn’t see one.  The woman’s male friend reportedly told police he heard what he believed to be four gunshots as he was running away.  Another witness on scene told officers a conflicting story.  The male witness reportedly told officers that the woman’s male friend grabbed a knife and threatened to stab everyone… and that he was the only one with a weapon that evening. The whole thing was a mess. But two people who had allegedly been on scene were arrested the next day.  Officers charged Allan Monteiro, 25, of Hyannis, with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. Kevin Roderick, 31, of Centerville, was charged with Larceny of a Motor Vehicle and Leaving the Scene of a crash with Property Damage.  CLICK HERE FOR HN’S INITIAL REPORT ENTITLED, “COPS SWARM RAGING CENTERVILLE COMMOTION AFTER REPORT OF POSSIBLE SHOTS FIRED”    THE FOLLOWING HN VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS THE ENTIRE SEPTEMBER 15TH COMMOTION ON ZENO CROCKER ROAD.  [HN VIDEO –  PRESS PLAY]   P.S. – Today’s Hytown Vignette is a brought to you by Jaco Pastorious…  [CLICK IT/CRANK IT!  HEADPHONES ABSOLUTELY OBLIGATORY!]    * The initial details contained in the above report are based on police radio transmissions and information on scene.
