***  WATCH ***  DENNIS CRASH – “21-YEAR-OLD” MALE CRASH VICTIM FOUND ON RTE 6 IN CRITICAL CONDITION

DENNIS, Massachusetts – The patient, described as a “21-year-old” male suffering multiple system trauma, was found on Route 6 near Exit 78A. His vehicle was nowhere in sight. As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, at around 3:30 a.m. this morning, a male, said to be unconscious and not breathing, was found on the side of the highway by first responders. A resident who lives near to the highway had heard a loud crash, according to radio transmissions. The patient was initially believed to be a pedestrian until they found his vehicle, at least 100 yards away, over a guardrail and 20 to 30 feet down an embankment, about half-way up the Exit 78A off-ramp. The patient was believed to be the driver. He was also believed to have been ejected through the vehicle’s windshield, according to radio transmissions reporting initial on scene assessments. Medflight was requested but ended up not flying due to weather conditions. The patient was transported to Cape Cod Hospital in a Dennis FD ambulance. He was later said to be in critical condition, according to radio transmissions. Route 6 eastbound was completely shut down between Exit 75 and Exits 78 A&B while the Massachusetts State Police reconstructed the crash scene.
