HYANNIS –  Cape Cod Hospital was placed on trauma alert after a motorcyclist was badly hurt during a beach parking lot crash Friday evening.  At around 7:20 p.m. this evening, Barnstable Police and Hyannis Firefighters responded to the Kalmus Beach parking lot at the end of Ocean Street for reports of a crash with serious injury.  It was a single vehicle crash, involving just the motorcycle.  Members of the BPD accident reconstruction unit responded to investigate and document the scene.  A member of the sheriff’s crime scene unit also responded to take photos.  Officers wrapped up the beach parking lot investigation just before 9:00 p.m. The bike was towed.  And the investigation continued at Cape Cod Hospital.  The current condition of the motorcyclist is unknown at the time of this report.  The following HN Video highlights accident recon efforts… [HN VIDEO –  PRESS PLAY]
