security patrol property check service

HYANNIS –  [HN NOTES]  –  While listening very carefully to the following HN Video, the driver can be heard telling officers he was just about to call his older brother to help tow his car –  but the problem is he told officers this several blocks away from where he admittedly just crashed his car.  Also, the driver and a second male occupant were allegedly just witnessed running away from the scene of the crash, according to police radio transmissions.  Shortly after 11:00 p.m. last evening, a Barnstable Police patrol unit was dispatched to the area of 115 Main Street for a report of motor vehicle crash.  Upon arrival, officers found a single vehicle with substantial front end damage, after it had apparently jumped the curb and careened down the sidewalk, taking down signs and a crosswalk traffic light.  (Pedestrians were in the area when HN arrived shortly after the crash… fortunately none were hit!)  The car was found empty with both doors open.  According to radio transmissions, the male driver and a male passenger were witnessed fleeing the scene.  Several blocks away, an alert patrolwoman reportedly spotted the driver and passenger running in the direction of DJ’s Wings on Yarmouth Road.  The driver reportedly stopped for the officer when commanded to do so, while the passenger kept going, only to be stopped and detained in handcuffs by responding backup officers.  The driver was also detained in handcuffs.  As the investigation unfolded, the driver and passenger were placed in the back of two separate cruisers and transported back to the scene of the crash.  The passenger was soon released from custody and free to leave.  The driver, however, was held in custody and charged with Operating Under the Influence of drugs, according to sources on scene.  He will also be cited for leaving the crash scene.  A member of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit responded to document the entire thing with photographic evidence.  The following HN Video begins with dashcam footage approaching the scene.  It also contains police radio transmissions, video of the scene and police catching up to both men.  [HN VIDEO –  PRESS PLAY] P.S. – Today’s Hytown Vignette is a brought to you by Stereo MC’s…  [CLICK IT/CRANK IT!]  *  HN NOTE:  The initial details contained in the above report are based on police radio transmissions and information from sources on scene. All defendants are presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
