Hundreds of journalists from the U.S. and other countries have reported being beaten and having their cameras taken away by the pro-Mubarak forces who flooded into Cairo yesterday bringing a lot of violence with them. Although they are vastly outnumbered by the anti-government forces today, they have been busy chasing down reporters. Most say their cameras were broken or taken away. many were beaten.
Tomorrow (Friday) is expected to be the day of most violence because it is the deadline demonstrators have given Mubarak to leave. He has said he will step down in September when the elections are held. He has also said he will be buried in Egypt. Obama's administration are asking for a "transition" to take place immediately, but no one in the White House will say that transition means Mubarak must step down.
