HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS –  [HN VIDEO NOTES]  –  Firefighters were called to the Hyannis railroad yard behind DJ’s Wings on Yarmouth Road, after a Cape Cod Central Railroad car caught fire Monday evening at around 10:00 p.m.  Crews had to contend with stiff winds as they quickly stretched a line across a number of train tracks, finally knocking down flames that appeared to be extending from a large battery (or engine) compartment underneath one of the cars.  Firefighters then began checking to make sure nobody was inside any of the cars.  A member of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit responded to take photographs.  The Hyannis FD is investigating the cause of the fire… [HN VIDEO –  PRESS PLAY]
