***  WATCH ***  SCARY MOMENTS FOR MANY AFTER ARMED MAN INVESTIGATION LEADS TO TAKEDOWNS BUT NO ARRESTS

HYANNIS –  Barnstable Police Officers approached a house on Castlewood Circle with guns drawn after a report of an unwanted male inside scaring others with a firearm Thursday evening –  1/26/2023. As you will see in the following HN Video, it was frightening for innocent individuals inside the residence as officers with guns drawn called everyone out.  Individuals were briefly detained, including an elementary school-aged child.  A description was put out for a male who reportedly left the area in a silver BMW SUV.  The male was said to have been armed. About 20 minutes into the investigation, officers observed a silver SUV reenter the neighborhood driving toward the initial Castlewood Circle address.  Officers immediately conducted a high risk stop on the SUV with guns drawn.  Four individuals were ordered to exit the vehicle and were detained.  No firearm was found inside the SUV.  Witnesses were seated inside cruisers in order to show-up and observe potential suspects.  Those show-ups were reportedly inconclusive.  No arrests were made.
