Top HN Photo: A Yarmouth FD paramedic speaks directly with the Cape Cod Hospital Emergency Room, advising them about an incoming priority one patient who has lost a lot of blood.  YARMOUTH –  Yarmouth Police patrol officers encountered an injured man all by himself on his front doorstep at around 4:30 a.m. this morning, after receiving an emergency phone call.  The first patrolman on scene began applying pressure to a severe laceration on the man’s temple area.  The injury happened after some type of fall.  The man, in his early 60s, was reportedly on prescription blood thinners.  It is estimated he had already lost nearly 2 liters of blood.  The patient was conscious and alert when being carefully secured on a stretcher.  A paramedic immediately contacted the emergency room, letting them know there was a priority one patient about to arrive at their facility.  Meanwhile, the man expressed gratitude to the first responders who had arrived quickly to help him… P.S. – Today’s Hytown Vignette is a brought to you by Gerry Rafferty [CLICK IT/CRANK IT!]  The post HN PHOTO: “BAD BLEED” first appeared on Hyannis News - News & Information for Hyannis Cape Cod.
