The Nantucket Board of Health issued an emergency order requiring people to wear a face covering over their nose and mouth when in public and within 6 feet of another person. The order also says that coverings must be worn at all times within the bounds of the Nantucket Old Historic District and the Siasconset Historic District.The emergency order went into effect at 2 p.m. Monday.
