Feb. 5 was a disappointing day for me as an American.On that day, members of the Senate voted on President Trump’s articles of impeachment. The actions taken by the Senate during their impeachment trial and before their final vote can only be described as desertion. Desertion has long been a serious crime in American military courts. During a military court-martial the defendant has abandoned his or her post without justification, renouncing responsibilities, and evading duties. [...]
