The Town of Barnstable is turning up the heat on its request for $1.6 million in state funds to renovate the former National Guard Armory Building in Hyannis. Last year, the Town Council approved a three-phase renovation of the long-vacant armory, the site of JFK’s presidential acceptance in November 1960 and a walking trail stop on today’s JFK Hyannis Museum’s Legacy Trail.
