This is a response to Bob Erickson’s “rant” letter about the use of Lady Liberty in an editorial  cartoon. While I’m not going to discuss that particular cartoon because most people can figure it out, I do want to bring Mr. Erickson up to date: Editorial cartoons are NOT meant to be funny.
