FALMOUTH — A barred owl was rescued on Homestead Lane Saturday morning, according to Jessica Gow, senior animal control officer of Falmouth Department of Marine and Environment. It is believed the owl was hit by a car.At around 9 a.m., Gow received a call from a passer-by who was driving along Homestead Lane and noticed the injured bird, she said.By the time Gow arrived, the caller had removed the owl from the road, she said.The owl sustained some trauma and was [...]
