The Wire
The Cape Cod Daily News Wire tracks news stories and blog posts from over 40 local sources. News and blog stories are updated hourly and can be searched or browsed by source, locality and date.
How to use the CapeCodDaily.com News Wire
The « is used to hide the left side or Sources panel.
Expand/Collapse is used to expand or collapse all the items on the page at once.
Both of these functions are saved as personal preferences via an anonymous cookie so the the next time you visit the site it will save your preferences.
To view any individual story’s snippet or description click on the item’s title. This will expand the item.
To read the full story at the source website, click on the name of the source following the item title after the » .
Search
The search page will search the entire site and all the archived items. It supports boolean searches, searching of specific channels, as well as multiple display and sort options. All the search results pages have keyword specific RSS feeds so you can subscribe to any search you want via RSS. This can be a very useful tool for monitoring local news and blogs. Example: You could monitor a search for a keyword or phrase, a business name or a person’s name in your RSS reader. Every time there is a match for your search keyword(s) it will appear in your RSS reader automatically.RSS

Mobile
The site also has a stripped down mobile version that will work from any internet enabled cell phone:
http://capecoddaily.com/wire/?mobile. The software will auto-detect cell phone usage and serve the appropriate format to any mobile device.
